  2. Your first challenge lesson arrives Friday, January 1.
  3. Paint along each Friday and share your minis in the private challenge group.

Okay, so what is it?

A year of learning to say more with fewer brushstrokes. Brian paints the farms, coastlines, prairies and mountains he loves as loose, abstracted impressions: big shapes, splashes of color and nothing fussy. Each week you'll paint one Canadian scene alongside him, and little by little you'll find your own looser, freer way of painting.

Katie B.'s Paint Canada painting

"Hello! This is my first AU challenge. I joined the Paint Canada challenge last year, but just started. I'm not working in order, just jumping in on paintings that speak to me - there are so many and I love Brian's style! This was a fun one to get me started. think I need to be more careful with my values (my rocks are off). I'm travelling and I don't have an easel with me, so will need to try propping my painting up and stepping back to see this better."

Yes! Choose the gift option at checkout. It makes a lovely Christmas gift for the painter in your life.
