That Will Launch You Forward!

Workshop Theme: Still life provides us the opportunity to set up challenges so we can paint them. Did you know: there are three types of still life: formal, found, and part of a larger scene. In this workshop we will do smaller setups and study how backlighting works. Good news! It simplifies things! And if you'd rather do front lit, that's fine too. Weather permitting, outdoor setups will be an option as well. Start with what you do know and gain skills by doing exercises that isolate different aspects of paintings and will inform decisions from her on. Fun and informative workshop for all skill levels. 

Daily Schedule: Each day will include instruction, demonstration, and plenty of time to paint with Aimee providing individual feedback. Class will be 9am to 4pm with an hour lunch from 12-1pm. Bring a lunch or grab something from a variety of restaurants close by.

Incredible Setting: The workshop will be held at the Dorsey property on Camano Island, WA with spacious, beautiful views. The property is conveniently located on the north end of the island close to restaurants, a coffee roaster, and artsy Marketplace gift shop. Get out your paints to capture the barns, fields, and forests of this spectacular setting. 

Who Can Attend? All levels of artists will benefit from this workshop, but some experience painting  is recommended.

Supplies: A detailed supply list will be emailed to you upon registration. 

Medium: Acrylic or oil. Demos will be in both mediums.

Cancellation Policy: If you cannot attend this workshop, our cancellation policy is a 90% refund up to and including 30 days before the class. No refunds for cancellations 29 days or less prior to class.

BONUS: On the first day of the workshop (Tues, June 23) there will be a studio dinner for all students; the Dorsey's treat!
